Forth Seabird Group - Our Islands - Haystack

Haystack is a small rock which juts out of the water a little to the west of Inchcolm, and close to the Fife coast between Dalgety Bay and Aberdour. This island has steep cliffs on the east side and slopes more gently down to the sea on the west side. There is often a colony of breeding cormorants on the top of the rock. A few shags nest along with some gulls.
